Geneva (CH) [ENA] A regular event in Switzerland in May is the European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE2024). The main European business aviation show, it takes place every year between PalExpo and the adjacent Geneva-Cointrin airport in Switzerland.

EBACE is hosted by the European Business Aviation Association (EBAA) and the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) and took place from 28th to 30th May 2024. With a large static display with many business-configured aircraft to visit and admire, the show also offers everything related to this important aviation market in the PalExpo pavilions. This year at EBACE we also had the opportunity to learn more about the leading and pioneering companies in Advanced Air Mobility.

As always, EBACE 2024 has offered ample space to the figures involved in business aviation and has highlighted the constant growth of this market. Business aviation in common language would be private planes around the world to transport VIPs, but in reality it is the fast way used in the business world to accelerate economic relations at a global level. The movements of these aircraft have changed the face of the world economy over the years and their aspect has also changed a lot. In fact, both in the static and among the various stands, many aircraft of any size could be admired, both as propellers and as jets, including planes that can normally be admired as commercial transport and instead here are in business version.

Boeing brought a B737-7 BBJ, for Airbus an ACJ TwoTwenty from Comlux (A220 in business configuration), Dassault its Falcons, but also Cessna, Cirrus and Pilatus had exhibited their jewels in the aprons of Geneva airport. In recent years, business aviation has also proven to go faster than commercial aviation with respect to decarbonization and also new technologies for respecting the environment. During the show we admired these innovations and this continuous trend with respect for the nature that hosts us in this world.

Many conferences and various meetings during the three days of the show and among these many about the future development of aviation in its fields and of business aviation on its current path and expectations for the future. “Innovation is always at the forefront at EBACE and this year is no exception,” said Rachel Clementi, head of conferences and innovation at EBAA. Business aviation involves an increasingly larger and increasingly innovative industrial/economic world, a very vast business that every year sees more and more figures involved and sees an increase in innovation and respect for the environment.

EBACE highlights this trend every year and showcases the best of each sector of business aviation, now the next appointment in Geneva for the European show is from 20th to 22nd May 2025 with an event that will be for the first time completely in the hands of the EBAA (European Business Aviation Association). EBACE will host in 2025 edition an AIR OPS zone, dedicated sessions and educational workshops to address the needs of ground handlers, airports, FBOs, trip planners and operators.

Robert Baltus, Chief Operations Officer at EBAA, says: “We have a powerful vision for the future of our flagship event and bringing AIR OPS into EBACE25 marks the first step in an exciting new direction and the first of several changes to the EBACE format. EBACE 2025 will be an exciting start of the onboarding of EBACE by EBAA, who will be actively engaging with the industry to shape the future of the European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE) for 2025 and beyond.
